An Egg Donor’s Story

When I was a senior at the University of Chicago, I learned my birth was made possible through sperm donation. This inspired me to choose to help infertile couples have a baby. ARR’s staff worked with me to coordinate my medical appointments and egg extraction, as well as overcoming a distance challenge since I was living in New York. ARR kept me comfortable throughout the process. Mary Ellen McLaughlin, the partner who works with donors like me, did a terrific job of putting me at ease. I feel like I can call her anytime.
